Advantages of a certification
• External and for this reason neutral evaluation by competent
auditors and their certification companies.
• Diagnosis of the actual state of the processes and procedures of an
organization.
• Evalution of the actual state according to the target state of the
respective basis norm.
• Every certified managementsystem also fulfills the basics of the
valid requirements of risk managementsystems. Risks can be recognized
early and shut down fast.
• A valid certificate displays that an organization works according to
the current regulations.
• Third-party-certifications, as we perform them, often reveal
improvement potentials which exceed the requirements of the respective
basis norm and which implementation adds even more value to the
concerned organization.
A certification period consists of three basic but compulsory components and the optional system
analysis which is only obligatorily required for an initial certification. The duration of this period
usually is 3 years.
In the course of the system analysis, which takes place after the conclusion of contract, we examine
the certification ability of our company while regarding current rules.
If your management system
has proved as able to be certified, the certification audit can start. Afterwards the certification, two
further surveillance audits follow annually. By the end of the third year the existing certificate runs
out (The expiration date is clearly stated on each certificate.

Some weeks before the expiry of the certificate, a new certification period should be scheduled in
time. In this case the new certification period will begin with a repetition audit. After this, the period
normally continues with two subsequent surveillance audits. The auditor or if applicable the audit of
DMSZ can be active for several periods for one company until changes are requested by customer or
auditor.
The certifier can be changed prior to each audit. It is considered to be reasonable to change present
certifier after completing a certification period.
The auditor provides an audit plan which is harmonized to the customer in advance of every
audit. Building on that the scheduled audit will be realized. Afterwards the auditor writes a report
containing audit observation and room for improvement. In general the report in the surveillance
audit is shorter than for certification or re-audits. If necessary deviations found by the auditor
according to applicable regulatory get documented. The customer has to commence appropriate
corrective actions within a defined time. If all requirements are met by their respective audits, the
auditor's records get passed to the certification body of DMSZ. Here is the technical examination
of the material taken place on conformity to relevant regulations as well as the formal act of
certification. A certificate is created or the continuation of the certificate’s validity is confirmed. The
customer receives an appropriate and comprehensive report after each audit.
To complete the picture it must be said that it is also possible to withdraw an existing certificate by
the certifier if non-compliance to relevant requirements is detected.
An essential role played in the process of certification is the scope (activity of the company). On
the certificate the name of the company and its activities are described. The scope is defined
between auditor and client prior to certification or re-audit. It is possible to display only a part of an
organization in a certificate. Only affected locations are shown in the certificate. For organizations
with more than 2 locations, there is the possibility of a certification matrix. In this case the auditor
has not to visit every location each year but visits sites after a defined and individual matrix.
DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN ISO 14001
The DMSZ is accredited by German Accreditation Service (DAkkS) GmbH to execute certifications.
Our accreditation is based on quality management
systems (QM) systems based on DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and environmental management systems
(UM) systems based on DIN EN ISO 14001:2009 in defined economic sectors. By virtue of this
accreditation, which is in every certificate is proven by the logo of DAkkS and IAF Inc., our certificates
are fully recognized and approved on world-wide level.

ISO TS 16949
New approach of DMSZ to certify ISO / TS 16949:
DMSZ also certifies ISO / TS 16949:2009 without taking IATF (International Automotiv
Task Force) rules into account and thus without the accreditation by IATF but DMSZ certifies
according to world-renowned ISO 9001 standard by IAF (International Accreditation Forum
Inc.) in order to make a certification according to ISO / TS much more sapid to our customers.
